The melting point of 1,6-dichlorohexane was determined to be -14.8°C.

The melting point of 1,6-dichlorohexane was reported from a reliable literature source (Knovel Critical tables (2ndEdition)) to be -14.8 °C. The melting point originates from experimental study according to OECD guideline 102 and Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.1. In addition the melting point was calculated with MPBWIN v1.42 using EPIWIN software package to be -28.49°C.The melting point of -14.8 °C was taken as key parameter because it originate from an experimental study.
