Additional information

In the key study (BASF AG. KZA 01.90/0299.1990) 1,6-dichlorohexane was tested in a static freshwater study (30 min) equivalent or similar to OECD guideline No. 209. The test concentrations were 240, 500 and 1000 mg/L (nominal). The EC 50 (30 min) was 600 mg/L (nominal, respiration rate).

The two supporting studies were not standard tests, and thus not taken into account for hazard assessment.

In the first study (87 -0470 -DKO) 1,6-dichlorohexane was tested to domestic activated sludge for 24 hour. The EC10 was 24.4 mg/L and the EC50 was 48.3 mg/L.

In the second supporting study (BASF AG. ROBRA 10/1452/88.4989, 1,6-dichlorohexane was tested in a static freshwater study (24 h). The test

concentrations were 625, 1250, 2500, 5000 and 10000 mg/L. The EC50 was 1120 mg/L. Furthermore, the EC10 and the EC90 were 689 mg/L and 5328 mg/L (respiration rate).
