The test item is not thermally stable. It decomposed during the DSC analysis. The evaluation of the thermograms result in a decomposition temperature of the test item of 195.4 °C (onset temperature).
Reference
The DSC analysis was performed twice. According to the given information the temperature range for the investigation of the melting point was fixed in the range of about 30 °C. In each thermogram an endothermic signal followed by an exothermic signal was observed in the temperature range from 180 °C to 220 °C. The endothermic signals were evaluated and the following characteristic thermal data were determined.

The thermal stability of the test item was checked by a second run after cooling down of the samples. The thermograms of this runs showed an endothermic signal with an onset temperature of 62.7 °C (both samples), shown in Figure 3 for the first sample. According to this fact and the signals in the first run it can be concluded that the test item isn’t thermally stable.
The evaluation of the thermograms result in a decomposition temperature of the test item of 195.4 °C (onset temperature).
