Description of key information

The rate of disappearance by abiotic degradation (hydrolysis) of N-(2-nitrophenyl)phosphoric triamide in aqueous solutions at pH 4, 7 and 9 was studied on the basis of OECD Guideline no. 111. The key study is GLP compliant and has Klimisch score 1.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
148.4 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

N-(2-nitrophenyl)phosphoricacid triamide) did undergo hydrolysis at pH 4 (DT-50 of 28.5 hours) and pH 9 (DT-50 of 48.2 hours). A very slow hydrolytic reaction occurred at pH 7 (DT-50 of 148.4 days).
