First-aid measures
General instructions
If health problems occur or if you suspect that your health may have been affected, contact your physician and give the information stated on this safety data sheet. It is necessary to keep the vital functions going until a physician arrives (i.e. check heartbeat, ensure artificial respiration, heart massage). If the affected person has lost consciousness or if you believe that he/she may lose consciousness, transport the person to a healthcare provider in a stabilised position, lying on his/her side.
When inhaled:
Move the victim to fresh air, keep him or her in absolute repose, inhalation of oxygen. Half sitting position, prevent person from losing heat. Transport to doctor (see above).
SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS: headache, giddiness, nausea, airway eyes irritation
In case of contact with skin:
Wash the affected area thoroughly with water and soap for 10-15 minutes.
SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS: possible irritation, dermatitis, burn, itching, oedema
In case of contact with eyes:
Wash the eye with a plenty of water or physiological solution for 10-15 minutes from inner to outer eye corner. If the afflicted person is wearing contact lenses, they must be removed immediately. Call for a professional medical help promptly.
SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS: irritation, lacrimation, burn , pain, photophobia.
When swallowed:
Have the victim drink approx. 2 dl of water and call for a professional medical help promptly. After ingestion possible administrate activated charcoal as a slurry (20 tablets (cca 15g) /250 ml water). Do not induce vomiting.
SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS: irritation, burning of oesophageal or gastrointestinal tract
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Powder or snow fire extinguisher. In the case of a large-scale fire, use heavy foam with a polar foam maker, or a split water stream. Containers should be cooled with a screen of water. You should try to get them out of the fire.
Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons:
Direct water stream
Special exposure hazards from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases:
While the substance burns, it produces toxic products. Mixtures of the steam of the substance with the air are explosive.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
When fighting the fire in the dangerous zone, you must use an isolation breathing apparatus and a protective suit against heat of radiation.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Close the place of the accident. When managing the emergency, use the personal emergency equipment described in SDS. Remove or switch off all sources of ignition. Avoid generation of dust. Ensure supply of fresh air in enclosed room.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent the substance from leaking into the sewerage system, ground and surface water or into the soil.
Method for cleaning:
Collect spilled substance and incinerate everything including contaminated soil at the appropriate facility. The contaminated material must be handled as a waste.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Avoid formation of dust or possible vapours (sublimate when processing) at workplace and atmosphere – ensure sufficient ventilation and exhaustion. Use personal protective equipment as stated in SDS. Avoid leakage or spillage of the product during handling operations. Avoid contact with open fire, sparks or hot surfaces.
Storage:
Store under common storage conditions. Ensure sufficient ventilation. Store only in enclosed packages. Store in dry area. Avoid exposure to weather conditions. Use protective equipment.
This substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions in accordance with REACH regulation article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangments include the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based managment systems is available at each manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of strictly controlled conditions has been recieved from every affected distributor or manufacturer/ downstream user of the registrant's intermediate

Exposure controls / personal protection
RECOMMENDED PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE):
· Respiratory protection: In case of short-time exposure or low concentration use the respirator with filter protecting from organic vapours, in case of high concentrations and long-term exposure use selfcontained breathing apparatus.
· Eye protection: Protective shield or goggles
· Hand protection: Protective gloves
Everyday working activities (possible contact during operation or getting stained in the case of leakage): Nitrile 0.85 mm 480min.
· Skin protection: protective suit and footwear, unprotected skin must be treated with a protective lotion before beginning to work.
· General safety and hygienic measures: Follow the rules of personal hygiene. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working! Wash your hands as well as any uncovered parts of your body well with water and soap, or treat them with suitable reparation lotion (e.g. Arretil, Stoko UV 18 ).
Environmental exposure controls
Follow the valid legal regulations governing the protection of the air and water.
