Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No effects in the range of the water solubility of the test substance (< 0.004 mg/L in aqua dest) were observed (OECD 209).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of 2-hexyldecanoic acid[4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235) to aquatic microorganisms was investigated in a study by Desmares-Koopmans (2004). This limit-test with domestic activated sludge was carried out according to OECD guideline 209 under GLP conditions with a duration of 30 min. No effects occurred in the range of the water solubility of the test substance. Therefore, the EC50 (30min) could not be calculated and is considered to be > 100 mg/L (nominal).

Based on this information and the toxicity control results from the biodegradation test (Desmares-Koopmans, 2003) in which > 25% biodegradation was achieved within 14 days it can be concluded that UM-235 does not have an inhibitory effect on the activity of aquatic microorganisms within the range of its water solubility (< 0.004 mg/L).
