The column elution method was used to determine the water solubility of substance 2-hexyldecanoic acid [4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235). In none of the aqueous eluates from the loaded carrier columns the test substance was detected. After completion of the test, a portion of the loaded carrier material was treated with acetonitrile to dissolve the substance from the carrier material. Analysis of this solution confirmed the presence of test substance. From this it was concluded that the absence of UM-235 in the water samples was due to low water solubility. Therefore the water solubility of UM-235 is reported as < the limit of detection, i.e. 0.004 mg/L.
The pH of the eluted aqueous phase was 7.8.
