Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Ready biodegradability of 2-hexyldecanoic acid[4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235) was investigated in a study by Desmares-Koopmans (2003). This test was performed according to OECD Guideline 301 B under GLP conditions using domestic activated sludge as inoculum. UM-235 was incubated at a concentration of 17.5 mg/L corresponding to 12 mg TOC/L at 22 – 22.8 °C. At the end of the test, UM-235 reached 13.5% biodegradation (mean value of two replicates). Since the pass level of 60% was not achieved, the test substance is considered to be not readily biodegradable. The results from the toxicity control containing test and reference substance (> 25% biodegradation within 14 days) indicate that UM-235 has no inhibitory effect on the activity of the sludge microorganisms.
