Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Name:
1-[difluoro(trifluoromethoxy)methoxy]-1,2,2-trifluoroethylene_Legal entity composition
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
1-[difluoro(trifluoromethoxy)methoxy]-1,2,2-trifluoroethylene_Legal entity composition
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

MOVE 3 is reasonably expected to be persitent or very persistent in water, sediments and soil, however no significant distribution in such compartments is expected. No data of degradation half-life are available for the atmospheric compartment which is the main compartment of distribution.

Because of its physical and chemical properties MOVE 3 will not distribute in the water compartment and therefore it will not be able to bioaccumulate in aquatic species. Moreover, it is not expected to be bioaccumulable in air-breathing organisms as high volatily from octanol was observed indicating that in a system organic matter-air MOVE 3 would rather distribute to the atmosphere.

The available data are sufficient for concluding that no alert is present in regards of the T criteria for the human health. Moreover the substance is not T for aquatic organisms according to the screening criteria (EC50 < 0.01 mg/L).

Likely routes of exposure:

Because of the physico-chemical properties of MOVE 3 and its conditions of use the most likely route of exposure is by inhalation.
