Additional information

Significant bioconcentration potential is not estimated and bioaccumulation in the aquatic food chain is not expected.

The log Kow of n-octylamine of 3.46 is pronouncedly below the screening value for B (log Kow > 4.5).

Calculated values for BCF using different QSAR models are between 89 and 178 (assuming metabolism) or 390 (no metabolism assumed). According to mammalian data, n-octylamine is expected to be fully metabolized. As such, rather the lower values for BCF would be realistic.

Even assuming no metabolism, worst-case BCR of 390 is far below the cut-off according to REACH Annex XIII for B, namely BCF 2000.
