Key result
Atm. press.:
1 atm
Decomposition:
yes
Remarks:
The test item turns in to a dark brown mass.
Decomp. temp.:
242 °C

The test item, Monalazone disodium was observed to change its colour from white to light brown at 193ºC. The test item was observed to decompose at 242ºC and turns in to a dark brown mass. Hence, it is concluded that the test item decomposes before boiling and the main test was not performed. The barometric pressure during preliminary test was 684 mmHg.

Conclusions:
The test item, Monalazone disodium was observed to change its colour from white to light brown at 193ºC. The test item was observed to decompose at 242ºC and turns in to a dark brown mass. Hence, it is concluded that the test item decomposes before boiling and the main test was not performed.
Executive summary:

The determination of boiling point of test item, Monalazone Disodium was carried out principally inaccordance with OECD 103 and OPPTS 830.7220.
