The partition coefficient log Pow of the registered substance was determined according to test procedure VTA34N00004.01 , which complies with EU test method L383 A/63 -73 (EU A.8) .
Results : log Pow > 5.7
Calculation of Log Pow shows us value of 6.94.
Since the result of OECD 117 testing only shows us a value > 5.7 (as the test institute abstains from using DDT as a refernece substance becaus of its toxicity). Additional testing with further HPLC-runs with Ethyl benzoate, Ethyl benzene, Butyl benzene, Dibenzyl and Triphenylamine showed retention times of the test substance four times as long as Triphenylamine, which resulted in a log Pow of 23,5 using extrapolation.
Since this value is outside the applicability domain of the test calculation with a QSAR tool was done. Since the used tool is well established this value is assumed to be correct.
