Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a study according to OECD test guideline 301B (CO2 evolution test), the test substance was readily biodegradable (meeting the 10-day windows) with 94.2 % biodegradation after 28 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The biodegradability of the test substance was investigated in a study according to OECD test guideline 301B CO2 evoluation test) under GLP. Under aerobic conditions using domestic, non-adapted activated sludge the CO2 evolution was measured over 28 days.

The test substance was degraded to 94.2% after 28 days, while all acceptance criteria were fulfilled. The 10 -day window was met as on day 4 2.6% degradation was observed and on day 14 70.9%. Therefore, the test substance is considered to be readily biodegradable.
