Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Handbook data are available that indicate a vapour pressure of pure hydrogen peroxide (100% w/w) at 25 °C of 299 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
299 Pa
at the temperature of:
298 K

Additional information

The vapour pressure of hydrogen peroxide at 25 °C was given as 299 Pa (Weast et al. 1986), which was determined by calculation. The vapour pressure of aqueous solutions of hydrogen peroxide exhibiting varying concentrations of the substance was determined in a dynamic system using an equilibrium still (Schumb et al. 1955). The experimental vapour pressure of pure hydrogen peroxide at 25 °C was approximately 260 Pa, which is slightly lower than the value obtained by the calculation method. The experiments showed that the vapour pressure of aqueous hydrogen peroxide solutions decreases with increasing concentration of hydrogen peroxide.
