Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

The PL spectra of the test item was remarkably broad - possibly due to the emission of defects. Without the filter used, the PL would have extended even further into the UV range. There was no consistent picture for the PLE spectra; they depended strongly on the selected detection window. That indicates, that in this case the excitation spectra of different defect states were observable, rather than the intrinsic PL. Ideally, the absorption edge should have been evident from the PLE spectra.

There was no absorption, but an increase in photoluminescence could be observed.

A photochemical reactivity of the material is not to be expected.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
There was no absorption, but an increase in photoluminescence could be observed.
A photochemical reactivity of the material is not to be expected.
Executive summary:

This study was carried out to obtain information about the photochemical behavior of zeolites. For this purpose, Photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescence excitation (PL)spectra were recorded. It was concluded that a photochemical reactivity of the material is not to be expected.
