Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

An endothermic effect was observed at 166 °C. No exothermic effects were recorded at temperatures up to the endothermic effect. The wire mesh basket was empty after the measurement.

Description of key information

The substance is not undergoing spontaneous combustion up to 400 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Data from a GLP-compliant guideline study, fully adequate for assessment.
