Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

The skin sensitization potential of the whole range of alcohol polyglycosides was evaluated in the guinea pig maximisation test according to the Magnusson Kligman and in the non-adjuvant Buehler test protocol in guinea pigs.

In summary, all of the six studies conducted with hexyl-D-glucoside, C8-10-alkyl glycosides and C10-16-alkyl glycosidesn showed that the APGs have no skin sensitizing potential. Hence, no classification is warranted.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Skin sensitization tests conducted with APGs showed all a negative result.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:
Migrated from Short description of key information:
No data available.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification criteria for skin sensitisation according to 67/548/EEC and (EC)1272/2008 are not fulfilled. No data available for respiratory sensitisation.
