Description of key information

No effects of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS: 110615-47-9) to terrestrial plants were observed at the highest test concentration of 654 mg/kg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The effects of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS: 110615-47-9) to terrestrial plants were evaluated in the “Terrestrial plants, growth test” (Seedling emergence test) according to the OECD guideline 208. Seed from oat (Avena sativa), turnip (Brassica rapa) and tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) were used for the test (Steber et al., 1995). After the test duration of 14 days no adverse effects on the germination of the seed were observed in the highest test concentration of 654 mg/kg. In addition to these results the substance is “readily biodegradable” and has no potential to adsorb to soil (log Koc: 1.7).
