Additional information

In a study designed to assess the hydrolytic stability of the test substance as a function of pH, it was determined in the pretest that the test substance was extremely unstable in water at pH7 (97.8% hydrolysis in 2.4h @50°C). Assuming the very rough rule of thumb that reaction rates double for every 10°C increase in temperature one can estimate the hydrolysis of the test substance at 20°C to be of the order of 5-6h, which is significantly <12h. Therefore, according to EC1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.7 column 2 the study does not need to be conducted.
