Biodegradation in water: screening test

The ready biodegradability of the test substance itself was examined to the OECD 301 F (Ready Biodegradability: Manometric Respirometric Test). The test substance was degraded 84 % in 27 days and the 10 days window criteria was fulfilled. The test substance was found to be readily-biodegradable under test conditions. The ready biodegradability of the test item was further assessed using a read-across category approach based on grouping of substances. The surrogate test substances were found to be ready biodegradable and a weight of evidence approach was applied.

Biodegradation in water and sediment

The substance is considered as readily biodegradable. Therefore, no further testing on biodegradation is required according to Annex IX (Paragraph 9.2.1, Column 2) of the REACh regulation 1907/2006.

Biodegradation in soil

The substance is considered as readily biodegradable. Therefore, no further testing on biodegradation is required according to Annex IX (Paragraph 9.2.1, Column 2) of the REACh regulation 1907/2006.
