A test series of at least 5 tests each were performed with the test item and with 65 % nitric acid in 1:1 mixture, by mass, with cellulose.

The mean pressure rise time is 26.04 s. All measured values are within the tolerable range of t 30 % (18.23 - 33.85 s) of the mean pressure rise time.

Due to the fact that the 1:1 mixture, by mass, of test item and cellulose has a mean pressure rise time higher than that of a 1:1 mixture, by mass, of 65 % nitric acid and cellulose the test item has no oxidising properties.

Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.21. to determine the oxidising properties of the test item.Therefore, a test series of at least 5 tests each were performed with the test item and with 65 % nitric acid in 1:1 mixture, by mass, with cellulose.
