Description of key information

Short-term Toxicity to fish

Based on the test results the 96-hour LC50 of test item for Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined to be 4.72 mg test item/L based on nominal test concentrations. The LC0 was determined to be 2.1 mg test item/L and the LC100 was determined to be 10.1 mg test item/L, both values also based on nominal test concentrations.

Long-term toxicity to fish

Based on the test results the LC50 of the test item for Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined to be > 7.0 mg test item/L for the egg-and fry-mortality, 6.9 mg test item/L for the overall-mortality and > 7.0 mg test item/L for the parameter length. The NOEC of the test item for zebrafish (Danio rerio) on was determined to be ≥ 7 mg/L for Egg-mortality, 3.2 mg/L for overall mortality and Fry-mortality, all based on nominal concentrations. The EC50 based on body length was found to be > 7 mg/L, the NOEC to be 0.3 mg/L and the EC10 to be 2.101 mg/L (nominal).

Short-term toxicity to daphnia

The toxic effect of the test item to Daphnia magna was assessed in a semi-static dose-response test. The 48-hour NOEC was determined to be 0.94 mg test item/L. The 48-hour LOEC was determined to be 2.1 mg test item/L and the 48-hour EC50 value was calculated to be 4.58 mg test item/L.

Long-term toxicity to daphnia

The influence of the test item on the survival and reproduction of Daphnia magna was determined during an exposure period of 21 days. The 21 day NOEC was determined to be 2.0 mg test item/L for the reproduction and for the survival of the adult test animals. The 21-day EC50 for the reproduction was > 2.0 mg test item/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

The influence of the test item on the growth of the freshwater green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was assessed in a static dose-response test. The 72-hour ErC50value was calculated to be 73.0 mg test item/L and the 72-hour EyC50was calculated to be 17.5 mg test item/L. The 72-hour NOErC was determined to be 3.2 mg test item/L and the associated 72-hour LOErC is 10 mg test item/L. The 72-hour NOEyC was determined to be lower than 3.2 mg test item/L and the associated 72-hour LOEyC is at least 3.2 mg test item/L. The EC10 was > 1000 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

The test item is not toxic to Pseudomonas putida.

EC50 > 1000 mg/L

EC10 > 1000 mg/L

Additional information

The reported effect concentrations refer to the commercial formulation containing 46.2% (w/w) of the REACH registration substance which reflects the test item used in the studies.
