Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the water solubility of the substance according to OECD Guideline 105 and EU Method A.6. About 5 g of the test substance were weighed and added to 20 mL deionized water. The resulting solutions were stirred in a heated water bath at 30°C for 24, 48 and 72 h. After incubation, the suspensions were cooled down to 20°C and kept at this temperature for 24 h without stirring. Afterwards, the samples were centrifuged (4500 U/min) at 20°C for 30 min. The cloudy water phases were filtered, 0.5 mL of the clear phases were diluted to 25 mL methanol with 10% acetic acid and then analysed by liquid chromatography. Under the study conditions, the water solubility of the substance was determined to be 221900 mg/L at 20°C and pH 6.78 (Schwarzkopf, 2016).
