Results (from 6 measurements):

- Water calibration (at 20°C with a density of 0.998 g/cm3): 71.7 mN/m.

- First test solution (at 21°C with a density of 0.998 g/cm3, concentration = 1.009 g/L, and age of the solution = 1053 min): 23.1 +/- 0.3 mN/m.

- Second test solution (at 21°C with a density of 0.998 g/cm3, concentration = 1.01 g/L, and age of the solution = 1547 min): 23.5 +/- 0.4 mN/m.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the surface tension of the substance was determined to be 23.5 mN/m at 21°C and for a concentration of 1 g/L.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the surface tension of the substance according to EU Method A.5. The test substance was dissolved in water (1 g/L), conditioned for 10 min in an ultrasonic bath and tempered at 20°C. The automatic measurement was then initiated. The practical test performance was based on the in-house test procedure 34N10001.01: "Determination of Surface Tension of aqueous solutions". Two different solutions with a concentration of 1 g/L were prepared. The surface tension should be measured, if the solution is in equilibrium state. An average of 6 single measurements was determined per solution. In this case, the total measuring time was more than 1200 sec per solution. Under the study conditions, the surface tension of the substance was determined to be 23.5 mN/m at 21°C and for a concentration of 1 g/L (Kintrup, 2016).
