As reported in the summary of environmental fate and exposure in HSDB of 2 -ethylaniline by Scientific Review Committee and mentioned also in Chemical Information Profile for Alkylaniline NTP 2009 2-ethylaniline primarily exists in air as a vapor (based on vapor pressure= 0.17 mmHg at T=25°C) that will degrade by reaction with photochemically produced hydroxyl radicals (half-life of 3 hours). 2-Ethylaniline is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to the lack of hydrolyzable functional groups.
