Description of key information

not explosive

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The substance Reaction mass of 2-(3,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid and 2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid is not explosive as a result of the thermal stability test, performed according to UN-Manual Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods – Manual of Tests and Criteria, and OECD Guideline 113. In addition, the molecular structure of the substance shows no indication of explosive properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on explosiveness of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, or Directive 67/548/EEC, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification: based on the thermal stability test and molecular structure the substance is not explosive.
