Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No experimental data available. All available relevant information indicates that hazard to terrestrial organisms is unlikely.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data are available on the toxicity of Reaction mass of 2-(3,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid and 2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid to terrestrial plants. However, experimental data are available for soil macroorganisms, terrestrial arthropods and soil microorganisms. In accordance with ECHA Guidance R.7c the substance is considered to meet the criteria for Soil Hazard Category 1 since it is not characterized by a high potential for adsorption or high persistence in soil. Moreover, the substance did not exhibit high toxicity to aquatic organisms. Thus, the available studies are sufficient to cover the hazard assessment of the terrestrial compartment. Based on the available data, the risk assessment for the terrestrial compartment indicates no risk (RCR < 1). Thus, no further testing is needed, according to the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7c: Endpoint specific guidance (ECHA, 2017).
