The bioaccumulation potential of the test substance diisopentyl ether was determined in a fish bioconcentration study (NITE, 1983). The BCF values were in the range of 84 to 313. The reversibility of the observed bioconcentration can not be judged since the depuration was not investigated.

The substance does not fulfil the trigger value of BCF > 2000 L/kg given in ECHA Guidance, Chapter R.11, for bioaccumulation is therefore not regarded to fulfil the B-criterion.
