Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Skin contact:

Wash affected area with soap and water. Do not use organic solvents. Seek medical attention if irritation occurs and persists.

Eye contact:

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Inhalation:

Remove affected person to fresh air and obtain medical advice.

Ingestion:

Seek immediate medical attention.

Do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs.

Note to physician:

None

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry agents

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:

Do not use a straight stream of water.

Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases:

Smoke, fumes, oxides of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and other toxic gases or vapour

Special protective precautions and equipment for fire-fighters:

Use self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for chemicals.

Additional information

Hazchem Code:     None allocated

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Clean-up personnel should wear protective clothing and equipment to prevent inhalation of dust and skin and eye contact. Remove all sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions:

Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses.

Methods for cleaning up:

Clean up all spills immediately. Use dustless methods such as vacuuming (with appropriate filter) to avoid generating dust.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Avoid generating and inhaling dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Local exhaust ventilation should be used. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Prevent deposition of dust to avoid dust explosion. Do not eat, drink or smoke at the workplace.

Storage:

Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place. Avoid contact with oxidising agents and peroxides.

Further information:

This product can form an explosive dust/air mixture. Avoid dust formation and control ignition sources. Employ grounding, venting and explosion relief provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices in process operations capable of generating dust and/or static electricity.
