Justification:

According REACH annex XIII, persistence shall not apply to inorganic substances

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX the study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (moderate solubility in water and insoluble in fat) and direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment is unlikely. The CAHC production has basically no waste material, as dust and off-specification products are recycled in the CAHC production process. Dust and powder being swept during cleaning will be recycled in the production.

Further has to be stated, that Aluminium is the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust, and the third most abundant element therein, after oxygen and silicon. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface. Calcium is the fith most abundant element in the earth crust
