Administration / exposure

Type of coverage:
other: assumed to be open - the liquid was massaged into the skin of animals for 1 minute at an interval of every 15 minutes for 1 hour
Vehicle:
unchanged (no vehicle)
Details on exposure:
5 dermal applications were made per week with undiluted n-butyl adipate at doses of 0.5 and 1 ml/kg for 30 inunctions to an area of approximately 100 cm2. The liquid was massaged into the skin of animals for 1 minute at an interval of every 15 minutes for 1 hour. At the end of the day, the skin of each rabbit was blotted with cleansing tissue to remove any excess.
