This substance is classified as readily biodegradable in saltwater at an application concentration (1 mg/L) which is comparable or higher than the concentrations expected in the inflow of a sewage treatment plant (STP). According to Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII requirements, toxicity to microorganisms testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable and the applied test concentrations are in the range of concentrations that can be expected in the influent of a sewage treatment plant. Hence, toxicity to microorganisms testing can be waived.
