PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

It can be stated that the substance does not fulfill the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).

Persistence:

The substance is not readily biodegradable. In a weight-of-evidence approach, (a)biotic degradation available is assessed. Based on the available data, the substance is not persistent in soil. However, the degradation of the substance in freshwater and in freshwater sediment exceeded the ‘very persistent’ threshold. It can thus be concluded that the test substance meets the very persistent (P/vP) criteria.

Bioaccumulation:

The test substance is considered not bioaccumulative based on a bioaccumulation in fish study. Further, the substance has a log Kow of ≤4.5 and may therefore be considered to be “not B/vB”.

Toxicity:

The substance is classified as toxic to reproduction category 1B according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008. The substance is therefore considered Toxic (T).
