Storage conditions of test material: Stored refrigerated (2-8°C) in aluminium bottle. An injection of nitrogen conditions gas is performed into the bottle after each sampling to keep the test item under nitrogen atmosphere during the storage period.

The melting point wasn’t observed during the pre-study.

First Determination

The cooling phase was also recorded. Freezing temperature was observed from ca -50°C to -108.4°C (endset temperature of the first peak).

During the heating phase, the melting point was detected on the thermogram as -111.6°C (onset temperature).

Second Determination

The cooling phase was also recorded. Freezing temperature was observed from ca -50°C to -106.5°C (endset temperature of the first peak).

During the heating phase, the melting point was detected on the thermogram as -111.7°C (onset temperature).

The melting point of the substance was determined as -111.6°C (mean of trials 1 and 2). It was found consistent with the end of freezing, at ca -107°C, therefore no high supercooling phenomenon is anticipated.

Executive summary:

The melting point of the test substance was determined under GLP according to OECD 102 / EU A1 guideline, using DSC method.

Two main runs were performed, and the mean final temperature was retained.

The melting temperature of test substance has been determined to be -111.6°C.
