To determine the melting behaviour (three independent single measurements), the test item was measured by DSC between -90 °C and 100 °C with a heating /cooling rate of 10 K/min in 2 cycles. For the measurement a capsulated crusible was used.

6 °C - 16 °C (from first measurement)

6 °C - 15 °C (from second measurement)

6 °C - 17 °C (from third measurement)

The cooling run shows a begin of crystallization at ca. 6 °C. Additionally the heating runs show a glass transition temperature at -48 °C (1st heating run). In the 2nd heating run the test item shows a melting although. The pasty substance is not completely molten at room temperatures.

Additional information

The melting point of the substance was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry. The temperature range represents the melting area of crystalline subcomponents. It is not completely molten at room temperature. The cooling run shows a beginning of cristallization at ca. 6 °C.
