Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Accumulation of the substance CAS 371756-75-1 is not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Three bioaccumulation studies are available for the assessement of the bioaccumulation potential of the substances belonging to the stilbene fluorescent whitening agents category. All of the available studies demonstrate that the bioaccumulation potential of the substances belonging to this category is negligible. It is assumed, reading across, that the bioaccumulation potential of the substance CAS 371756 -75 -1 is negligible as well.

CAS 16090-02-1: One study concerning bioaccumulation is available for this test substance. Generally tissue concentrations were too low to be quantified (CIBA-GEIGY 1973). In very few cases, values close to the sensitivity limit (0.03 mg/kg) had been measured. Therefore the bioaccumulation potential of the test substance is considered negligible.

CAS 13863-31-5: Generally tissue concentrations were too low to be quantified (CIBA-GEIGY 1973). In very few cases, values close to the sensitivity limit (0.03 mg/kg) had been measured. Those results are substantiated by another bioaccumulation study with a substance of the stilbene fluorescent whitening agents category, which the tested substance is a part of. Based on these results the bioaccumulation potential of the test substance is considered negligible.
