Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Not P/vP: Screening studies showed no relevant biodegradation. The main behaviour in the aquatic environment is hydrolysis which occurs very rapid with a half-life of 2 hours. The PBT assessment of potential hydrolysis products (oligomeric and polymeric ureas) has to be performed separately from the parent substance. These products are preliminary considered to be P(vP) but not B(vB). Therefore, also the hydrolysis products are not PBT.

Not B/vB due to a rapid hydrolysis with a half-life of 2 hours. Performance of a BCF study is technically not possible. Hydrolysis products (oligomeric and polymeric ureas) are not B or vB.

Not T due to the proven absence of relevant toxic effects.
