Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Data on aquatic effects of the substance are available on three trophic levels (fish, daphnia and algae) for acute toxicity. All three trophic levels have the same acute toxicity.

Fish: 96h-LL50 >100 mg/L

Daphnia: 48h-EL50 >100 mg/L

Algae: 72h- EL50 >100 mg/L-

The results are expressed in terms of Lethal Loadings (LL) and effective loading (EL) of exposure. As the test item is an UVCB substance and no information about the correlation between molecular weight and the structural formula of the test item are available, Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) were used to test effects at a limit loading of 100 mg/L, and no specific analysis was performed.

According to column 2 of REACH Annex IX, further long-term toxicity tests should be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to further investigate effects on aquatic organisms as indicated by a PEC/PNEC ratio >1. Having a PEC/PNEC ratio <1 for all exposure scenarios, there is no need to perform a long-term assay as the risk towards aquatic organisms is sufficiently controlled based on the already available information.
