Results and discussion

Details on results:
The phenolic dental medications thymol etc. had anti-inflammatory effect against croton oil-induced ear edema in mice

Any other information on results incl. tables

In vitro studies in rabbit and bovine kidney medulla and tooth pulp microsomes and homogenates, rat tooth pulp homogenates, and human leucocytes indicated that the phenols inhibit PG and leucotriene biosynthesis in arachidonic acid metabolites, which may be the mechanism of their anit-inflammatory actions.
