Description of key information

The water solubility of Reaction Product of Oleyl Alcohol with Polyphosphoric Acid was determined to be 0.06 mg/L at 20 °C ± 0.5 °C using the column elution method according to EC method A.6.  Therefore, in conclusion it can be said, that UVCB test substance “reaction product of oleyl alcohol with polyphosphoric acid” is poorly water soluble.
In addition, the water solubility of the single compounds of the UVCB substance was estimated by means of the programs WATERNT
(EPIsuite). The water solubility of the main component oleyl phosphate was estimated to be 0.02 mg/L at 25 °C using a “fragment constant” method. The components of the UVCB substance, which contain phosphate groups had estimated water solubility values ranging from approximately 1 to 12 mg/L at 25 °C. The components of the UVCB substance, which contain alcohol groups had an estimated water solubility of 0.02 mg/L at 25 °C. The estimation supports the measured data.
