Results and discussion

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

A preliminary visual assessment of water solubility indicated that the water solubility of the test item is less than 1 mg/l (see SURFACE TENSION section 4.10 Harlan Laboratories Ltd. study report 0334 -0184). This low level of solubility would make quantification difficult. In addition, the test item is a mixture and the monitoring of individual components (and these are not well defined) would be extremely difficult, in respect to concentration and reaction pathways. For these reasons in addition to the fact that Method C7 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008, states that this test is only applicable to water soluble substances, abiotic degradation of the test item was not determined.
