Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A study was performed according to OECD guideline 301 B (RCC Ltd. 2002b). At a concentration of the test substance of 23 mg/l, 3.7% were biodegradable within 28 days. It is assumed that the test compound was not fully solubilized in water. The results show that the compound is not readily biodegradable. In the toxicity control, no inhibitory effect on activated sludge microorganisms was observed.

This result is supported by the result from a MITI test (Institute of Ecotoxicology Ltd., Japan 2003, OECD 301C, biodegradation: ≤ 2% after 28 d). Therefore, the test substance is considered as poorly biodegradable.
