Details on results:
The standard EC A.6 / OECD 105 methodology was not applicable to this test item due to its very high solubility. Therefore, testing was carried out by visual appraisal.
It was evident from data relating to the pH of the test item in water that negligible hydrolysis of the sample solution occurred during the course of the test.

After preparation, the samples were shaken at approximately 30 °C for at least 72 hours. After standing at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C for a period of 24 hours, the samples were visually appraised. The pH of each solution was measured (where possible).

Conclusions:
The water solubility of 4,8-dimethyl-2,5,7,10-tetraoxaundecane has been determined to be in the range 26.0 to 27.9% w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
Executive summary:

Water Solubility of 4,8-dimethyl-2,5,7,10-tetraoxaundecane is in the range 26.0 to 27.9% w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C by visual assessment, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.
