Remarks on result:
other: determined by extrapolation

The test included the measurement of vapor pressure at 20 temperatures (see below).

Based on all these data a log P versus 1/T curve was established. Its equation is :

log (P/Torr) = 6.99486 – 1546.42/(T/°C + 166.702)

Using this equation, the vapor pressure is calculated to be 0.051527 Torr (6.9 Pa) at 20 °C

Conclusions:
Vapour pressure of 4,8-dimethyl-2,5,7,10-tetraoxaundecane was calculated as 0.0515 Torr (6.9 Pa) at 20°C.
Executive summary:

Vapour pressure of 4,8-dimethyl-2,5,7,10-tetraoxaundecane was measured by the dynamic method using an ebulliometer. The determination of the vapor pressure curve was done from 346.75 K to 482.12 K and 20 data points were collected.  As 20 °C lies outside the temperature range of the data set, the vapour pressure at 20 °C was calculated by extrapolation.

Description of key information

A guideline study was performed using the dynamic method with an ebulliometer. The determination of the vapor pressure curve was done from 346.75 K to 482.12 K and 20 data points were collected.  As 20 °C lies outside the temperature range of the data set, the vapour pressure at 20 °C was calculated by extrapolation.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
