First-aid measures
Description of First aid measures-
Ingestion Rinse mouth with water. Obtain medical assistance immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Eye contact Immediately rinse eyes with water. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent, obtain medical assistance
immediately.
Skin contact Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin immediately with water and soap. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is
apparent, obtain medical assistance immediately.
Inhalation In case of excessive inhalation, expose the person to fresh air and if necessary, obtain medical assistance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable Extinguishing media -
Dry chemical, alcohol-resistant foam and carbon dioxide.
For safety reasons, do not use full water spray.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters -
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Prevent run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions-
Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
Avoid contact with skin and inhalation of its vapors or smoke.
Maintain adequate ventilation in the working area after spilling.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up-
Cover with an inert, inorganic, non-combustible absorbent material (e.g. dry-lime, sand, soda ash).
Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.
Dispose off in accordance with current laws and regulations.
Handling and storage
Safe handling-
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Avoid inhalation of vapor or mist.
Keep away from fire and open flames.
Do not overheat.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
Conditions for storage-
Keep the product in its original container well sealed, in a dry and ventilated area, away from potential sources of ignition and protected from light. Store in accordance with local / national regulations and follow the warnings on the label.
