From the data obtained in the base set investigations the following toxicokinetic behaviour of the test substance is anticipated: A low water solubility and a high partition coefficient will
enable an absorption of the test substance through membranes.
A few systemic toxic effects were observed after oral
administration at higher doses, so there is some indication
for an absorption in the gastrointestinal tract.
Metabolism:
No major differences occured in the mutagenicity
studies with or without a metabolizing system. Therefore no
indication on the importance of an activation or
deactivation of the test substance by the metabolic system is obtained.
