Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

PPVE has vapor pressure values of 55000 Pa (410 mm Hg) at 20 °C and 67000 Pa (500 mm Hg) at 25 °C (OECD 104 method).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the key study, the vapor pressure of PPVE was determined using the static method and linear regression analysis of the vapor pressure curve from six temperatures. The key study conducted in accordance with the OECD 104 method was GLP compliant and therefore is considered reliable without restriction. In a supporting study, static vapor pressure measurements were carried out using a standard method wherein the equilibrium vapour pressure was measured at controlled temperatures. Temperature settings ranged from 0.01 to 69.99°C. The vapour pressure at room temperature (20.04°C) was determined to be 7.95 PSI. The report included sufficient documentation but the study was not carried out under GLP and therefore is considered reliable with restriction. A second supporting value of 51700 Pa (388 mm Hg) at 20°C was found in a separate study. However, due to few details available, the reliability of the data is not assignable.
