Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: In all cases keep the victim at physical and mental rest and warm. Always seek for medical help.
Inhalation: Breake the exposure, transfer the victim to the fresh air, apply artificial respiration, if the victim is not breathing.
Skin contact: Take off immediately contaminated clothing and flush affected area with plenty of water (preferably lukewarm).
Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Move to the physician.
Ingestion: Rinse out mouth with clean water, make him drink 0,1-0,2 l of water, induce vomiting. Administer activated charcoal (20 - 40 g in 10%slurry). Immediately call in physician. Induce vomiting only, if victim is still conscious.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry chemicals, foam, sand, water.
Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: Not known.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases: In case of burning, toxic fumes/vapours (oxides of carbon and nitrogen, hydrogen chloride) may be formed.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Evacuate area in case of large leakage. Prevent access to unauthorised persons. Avoid contact with solid and dust.
Environmental precautions: Avoid releasing to sewerage system, avoid contamination water sources, waste waters, soil and vegetation. Advice police if substance has entered a watercourse.
Methods for cleaning up: Collect in the designated closed containers or PE-bags.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Stability and reactivity
Conditions of stability: Stable under ordinary conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Sources of ignition (open flame, sparks, hot surfaces, smoking).
Materials to avoid: Substance reacts with strong oxidising agent, chlorides and acid anhydrides.
Hazardous decomposition products: In case of burning, toxic, irritating fumes may be formed (oxides of carbon, nitrogen, chlorine derivates).
Disposal considerations
Disposal methods of the substance/preparation: Must be disposed of in compliance with the respective national regulations.
Disposal methods of the contaminated packaging: Incinerate in incinerating plant for danger waste in accordance with local environmental regulations.
