Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
after inhalation: remove the casualtity into fresh air and keep him calm; take medical treatment;
after contact with skin: wash off immediately with soap and water;
after contact with eyes: rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
after ingestion: take medical treatment;
hints for physician: Treat symtomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: extinguishing measures to suit surroundings;
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: gaseous extinguishing media;
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours:
in case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: carbon monoxide (CO);
Special protective equipment for firefighting: use self-contained breathing apparatus;
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Do not inhale dust; avoid contact with skin and eye; wear personal protective equipment; unprotected persons must be kept away;
Environmental protections:
Do not allow to enter drains; retain and dispose of contaminated wash water;
Methods for cleaning up/ taking up:
Pick up mechanically; rinse away rest with water; avoid raising dust.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling:
Avoid dust formation; provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed; take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
dust can form an explosive mixture with air; keep away from sources of ignition; avoid formation of dust; avoid deposition of dust.
Storage:
Advice on storage compatibility:
observe TRGS 514 U (strorage compatibility)
Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place;
Storage stability:
may be kept indefinitely if stored properly.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures:
Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with skin and eye.
Hygiene measures:
Do not eat and drink during work time. Do not smoke during work time. Clean skin thoroughly after work. Apply skin cream.
Respiratory protection: Dust mask
Hand protection: Protective gloves
Body protection: protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition: >300°C
Heating rate: 5 K/min
Source: Clariant test
Hazardeous reactions:
No hazardeous reactions when stored and handled according to precribed instructions.
Risk of dust explosions.
Disposal considerations
Product:
In accordance with regulations for special waste must be taken, after pretreatment, to an authorised special waste incineration plant.
Uncleaned packaging:
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed off as product waste.
