Studies investigating the acute toxicity of the substance to aquatic organisms are available for three different trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). All available studies, conducted according to OECD standard guidelines, determined no acute toxic effects of the substance. An available long-term toxicity study conducted with aquatic invertebrates determined no chronic effects of the substance on the survival and reproduction of Daphnia magna. Based on the available study results, the substance is considered not acutely or chronically toxic to aquatic organisms.

The available study on the toxicity of the substance to microorganisms determined not respiration inhibition of activated sludge.
